Provide basic facilities in 2BHK houses: Collector Shashanka
Karimnagar: District Collector K Shashanka ordered the officials of concerned departments to provide all basic facilities that are required in the double bedroom houses, which are constructed under the housing scheme.
He held a review meeting with Additional Collector Shyam Prasad Lal and Municipal Commissioner Valluri Kranthi, RDO Anand Kumar to discuss about the progress of 2BHK houses construction at the Collectorate's conference hall here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Shashanka said around 6,474 double bedroom houses were sanctioned to the district, out of which construction works of 2,787 houses was in progress. He ordered revenue officials to identify land for the construction of the remaining houses.
The Collector informed the officials that necessary funds required for providing basic facilities like electricity, roads, construction of drainage, septic tanks and water supply through Mission Bhagiratha pipelines will be allotted as early as possible. It is the responsibility of the officials concerned to take initiation for completion of the works of basic facilities at a quicker pace, he ordered.
