Karimnagar: Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika (TVV) district president Karike Mahesh demanded the government solve the issues pertaining to Government Intermediate Colleges present across Karimnagar district. TVV representatives submitted a memorandum to Regional Intermediate Officer Suhasini here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, TVV district president alleged that many government intermediate colleges present across the district lack minimum basic facilities.

The students studying in these colleges are facing lot of hardships for not having basic facilities.

The government demolished the old building of Government Arts and Science Commerce College and is running the college in a new rented building. Insufficient classrooms and lack of basic facilities in this new building are causing problems to the students for the past one year. The issue was taken to the notice of public representatives and the officials concerned but of no use, he pointed out.

The government intentionally trying to weaken the education in State-run institutions by not providing basic facilities in the government colleges and schools and not taking any measures to strengthen them, he criticised.

K Mahesh demanded that the government must provide basic facilities in government intermediate colleges immediately and to take steps to strengthen the government education sector in the State.

TVV representatives Suryudu, Raju, Raghupathi and Bhagath were present along with others.
