Provide quality treatment to patients: Collector Sikta Patnaik

Adilabad: District Collector Sikta Patnaik told doctors to provide quality medical services to the patients, who visit the hospital and they should be available always.

On Tuesday evening, the Collector visited RIMS Hospital here and inquired about the services with Director Balaram Banoth. Citing a recent incident where an anaesthesia doctor was not available in the hospital during a medical emergency, she directed the doctors should always be available to the patients, since government hospitals are meant to serve poor people.

She enquired the Director the details of doctors' posts sanctioned to the hospital and vacancies. RMO Dr Chandu, Dr Naresh Rathod and others were present on the occasion.

Later, the Collector inspected the wellness centre and inquired the duty doctor about the medical services provided to the employees, distribution of medicines, medical staff working at the wellness centre. She told them to supply medicines in a timely manner.
