Provide uninterrupted power supply, demand farmers

Farmers of Chakalivanipalli village laying siege to substation in Ganneruvaram on Monday

Karimnagar: Alleging that there was no power supply to their village for the past five days, the farmers of Chakalivanipalli village on Monday laid siege to the Electricity sub-station in Ganneruvaram mandal of Karimnagar district.

The farmers alleged that they are facing lot of problems due to frequent interruption in power supply to their village and unable to take farm activities properly.

Pointing out that power supply will stop even for a slightest rainfall, the farmers said that they had urged the officials of the department to take steps for supplying uninterrupted power supply to their village as promised by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

But the officials have turned deaf ear to our appeals, they added.

The famers demanded that the government must take initiation and order the department officials to provide uninterrupted power supply to their village.

Village ward member Repaka Babu, M Thirupathi, Bamandla Ravinder and Nakka Thirupathi were among those, who were laid siege to the office.
