Public health only possible with ambient hygiene: Joint Collector G Sandhya Rani
Adilabad: District Joint Collector G Sandhya Rani told people to live a healthy life by keeping their surroundings clean and neat.
As part of the 30-day action plan, Collector visited Mamidiguda village in Adilabad rural mandal on Thursday.
Addressing on the occasion, she told villagers to maintain hygienic to avoid deceases, and to develop village. She called upon the people to avoid plastic bags to protect environment and use cloth and jute bags.
She wanted the shop keepers in the village to eradicate plastic bags and use paper bag. She told officers concerned to impose fine on those who use plastic bags. She urged people not to throw garbage on roads and drainage.
With help the help of donors 300 dustbins were given to every house. She told people to use two dust bins one for wet garbage another for dry garbage. She also asked people to arrange water harvesting pits in every house. She inspected roads and government institutions in the village and planted saplings under Haritha Haram programme.
District Panchayat Officer T Saibaba, Adilabad Rural mandal tahsildar Raj Monhan Reddy, Panchayat Officer Sudarshan, Mandal Special Officer Preethi, Panchayat Secretary P Chaitanya, Sarpanch Yadav Rao and others were present.
