Rachakonda Commissionerate launches open forum for women safety
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Commissionerate launched an open forum for women safety at its Commissionerate office in Neredmet on Saturday, on the account of successful completion of third formation day of the Commissionerate.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat lauded the good work done by the Rachakonda SHE team in fighting crime against women. He said the She teams were succeeded in their work.
In the last three years, they registered total 1,293 cases out of which 403 were FIR cases and 787 petty cases and 103 counselling cases and nabbed 1,853 accused persons, out of which 1,618 majors and remaining were 235 minors and averted 64 child marriages, 36 children were rescued from human trafficking and six qualified doctors were arrested through Decoys in PNDT cases by SHE teams.
Commissioner also mentioned that 'SHE FOR HER' volunteers were actively working in their surroundings and giving information due to which 24 accused persons were arrested.
The Commissioner also lauded the active participation of Margadarshk in IT companies.
