Railway Protection Force senior officer S R Gandhi visits Khammam

Khammam: The Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force (RPF) Secunderabad, S R Gandhi has inspected the RPF's safety measures in erstwhile Khammam as part of his two-day visit to the district on Friday and Saturday.

He reviewed the performance and safety measures by RPF following outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. The official inspected the RPF barracks at Khammam and planted a sapling.

He met District Collector RV Karnan and Commissioner of Police, Tafseer Iqbal and held discussions on betterment of policing in and around the railway stations. He sought the assistance and cooperation of Khammam police in crime detection at railway stations and to ensure safety of travelling public.

In a meeting with Khammam RPF staff, he appreciated the officers and staff for their involvement in distribution of essentials and groceries to migrants and poor people affected by lockdown. Gandhi along with Khammam RPF Inspector of Police K. Madhusudan visited RPF office of Bhadrachalam road station (Kothagudem) and interacted with officers and staff there.
