Rains in Hyderabad for two more days

Rains continue to lash the city for two more days, according to the Indian Meteorological department (IMD). The IMD predicted that some parts in Hyderabad may witness the rains accompanied by thunderstorms and wind.

The reason for the rains is said to be the formation of trough extended from Vidarbha to South Tamil Nadu covering Karnataka.

On Saturday, some parts of the state witnessed massive rainfall. Nyalkal near Sangareddy received the highest 37.5 mm followed by Vikarabad 22.3mm, Medchal, Malkajgiri, Ghatkesar and Mytrivanam.

On the other hand, districts like Adilabad reeled under intense heatwave with a record temperature of 42.8 degrees, Medak and Ramagundam of 41.2 degrees, Nizamabad 40.8 degrees, Mahbubnagar 40 degrees and Hanamkonda 39 degrees.
