Rains likely in Telangana for next 4 days
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rains accompanied by the gusty winds and thunderstorms over the next four days. The rainfall is due to the formation of a low-pressure area over the south-east Bay of Bengal near Andaman in the next 48 which may lead to the rainfall, the IMD officials said.
Meanwhile, several parts of the city witnessed light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday. With the sudden rains, the temperature in the city was brought down by one degree Celsius. Begumpet recorded the highest rainfall of 18.5 mm followed by Srinagar Colony (15.0 mm), Yousufguda (13.5 mm), Patigadda (11.8 mm) and Ameerpet (11.5 mm).
On the other hand, the highest temperature recorded in Medak district (42.5 degree Celsius) on Tuesday followed by Khammam 41.2 degree Celsius, Bhadrachalam (40.8 degree Celsius), Ramagundam (40.2 degree Celsius), Adilabad (40 degree Celsius), Nizamabad (40 degree Celsius), Hanamkonda (39 degree Celsius), Mahabubnagar (38.9 degree Celsius), Hakimpet (37.6 degree Celsius),and Hyderabad 37.6 degree Celsius.
