Rains likely till Sept 30
Maheswaram (Ranga Reddy): With Southwest monsoon active over Telangana, there had been heavy rains at isolated places in Ranga Reddy and three other districts in the last 24 hours, ending at 8.30 am on Thursday.
The intensity of the monsoon reduced as the upper air cyclonic circulation over interior Karnataka and the adjoining areas of Rayalaseema and Telangana moved to the south Maharashtra coast and the adjoining areas of Goa- Karnataka and east-central Arabian Sea.
According to the Met department bulletin, there was rain in Sangareddy, Medak, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. While Maheswaram recorded 7 cm, there was 6 cm of rain each in Sadasivpet (Sangareddy) and Alladurg (Medak).
There was 2 cm of rain at Hathanoora (Sangareddy), Saroornagar (RR), Papannapet (Medak), Shadnagar (RR), Dundigul (M-Malkajgiri), Medchal and Narsapur (Medak).
