Rains to continue for next three days in Telangana

Update: 2019-07-28 11:35 IST

Parts of Telangana have been witnessing incessant rainfall for the last two days and according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the rainfall will continue for three more days.

Venkatapur in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district has recorded the highest rainfall of 12 cm due to the downpour. Meanwhile, districts like Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Khammam and Peddapalle witnessed heavy rainfall.

The IMD officials attributed the rain to the low-pressure area lying over north Odisha and neighbouring Jharkhand with the associated cyclonic circulation above the sea level. The weathermen predicted more rains till July 30.
