Rains to lash Telangana over next two days
Light to moderate rainfall is likely to hit Telangana over the next two days by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad.
The rains will lash in isolated places of Mahbubnagar, Narayanpet, Jogulamba-Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Nalgonda and Suryapet. According to the IMD officials, rains accompanied by lightning and thunderstorm will be lashed over the next three days.
The officials also said that the south-west monsoon winds are expected to touch Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha by June 11 or 12 as the winds have already reached Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The IMD officials also said the state would witness spells of rain over the next 48 hours.
On the other hand, many parts of Telangana have witnessed rainfall followed by strong winds on Tuesday night.
IMD also predicted rainfall for Andhra Pradesh in the next four days and warned the people to be on alert. Besides heavy rainfall alert, the IMD said that the coastal areas are witnessing strong winds of 30-40 kmph.
