Rains wrecks havoc in city affecting the West zone of Hyderabad

West Zone of Hyderabad was the most badly affected Within just a few hours of rain derailing the free flow of traffic in many areas in the IT hub of West zone, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Monday decided to deploy Instant Repairs Team and Motors to pump out inundated water from waterlogged areas.
Serilingampally, Khajaguda received 8.28 cm rainfall till 8:30 am followed by Raidurg which received 7.63 cm and Madhpur recorded 7.6 cm.
In all, 28 water stagnation points and 15 trees uprooted were reported from different areas and the GHMC EVDM teams have rushed to clear all the locations. said the officials. All the nalas and manholes were cleared off the plastic and other trash to ensure a free flow of water.
GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said additional sanitary workers and bobcats were being deployed to clear the accumulated slit in Madhapur, Hitec city and surrounding areas. He also said sweeping machines will be introduced to maintain road sanitation.
