Rally calling for making Khammam plastic-free taken out

Khammam: Trainee Collector Adarsh Surabhi flagged off the plastic free-rally in Khammam town on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he appealed to the people to cooperate with district officials in making the district plastic-free and shun the use of plastics and switch to the use of cloth and paper bags.

He also warned the traders of imposing huge fines if they use plastic covers. The Trainee Collector along with Khammam Mayor Papalal participated in the Sramadanam programme held at municipal corporation office. Khammam Municipal Commissioner J Srinivas Rao, District Sports Officer Parandhama Reddy and degree college students took part in the rally.
