Ramagundam will be made a model city
Ramagundam: Several developmental activities were taken up in Ramagundam region with the target of transforming this industrial area into a model city, said Ramagundam MLA Korakanti Chander Patel.
Along with Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar, he laid foundation stones for various developmental programmes at a cost of Rs 6.44 crore under Ramagundam Municipal Corporation in Peddapalli district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Chander Patel pointed out that the earlier government had neglected Ramagundam and did not sanction funds to take up developmental activities but the TRS government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao drafted a special plan to transform Ramagundam into a model city.
The CM is sanctioning Rs 100 crore every year for the development of municipalities and corporations present across the State. Targeting to develop various colonies under the corporation and villages under municipalities, Ramagundam will be led towards development, the MLA assured.
ZTPCs A Narayana and K Sandhya Rani, Municipal Commissioner Srinivas Rao, TRS leaders Rajesh, Yellaiah, Shankar, Stalin, Gouse Pasha, Maruthi, Srinivas, Bucchireddy, Raju, Abhishek, Zaheed, Mohammad, Nasreem Begum, Bhaskar, Simhachalam, Uma Devi, Shanta Laxmi, Padma, Krishna Veni were present along with others.
