Randomise polling staff list in Nizamabad: SEC Nagi Reddy

Nizamabad: State Election Commissioner V Nagi Reddy directed the District Collectors to make arrangements for conducting municipal elections. Speaking at a video conference on Thursday, he said that a final publication will be held to look into the objections to ward delimitation.

Nagi Reddy told the district administration to identify polling centres and to arrange facilities in the centres. He also told to them to recruit Returning Officers for conducting the elections. His other orders include – identifying the number of ballot boxes needed and to collect them; and to set up polling staff distribution centre and reception centre. Reddy said Model Code of Conduct will be implemented once the election schedule is in place.

District Collector MRM Rao said that a list of polling staff has been finalised and randomization process was completed. Expressing satisfaction at the pace of the works going on the State Election Commissioner told all the District Collectors to randomise the polling staff as done by Nizamabad District Collector. District officials including Commissioner John Samson, Shailaja, Swami and Municipal Regional Director Mahender Reddy participated in the video conference.
