Rangareddy, Hyderabad most prosperous districts in Telangana State
Hyderabad: Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts continue to be the most prosperous districts in the State as the two stood first and second respectively in the growth indicators of per capita income (PCI) and district domestic product (DDP).
While the State's per capita income has been registered at Rs 2.04 lakh, the average per person income in Ranga Reddy was Rs 5.78 lakh and in Hyderabad, it is Rs 3.57 lakh. The rest of the 31 districts' PCI was below the State's average income.
Narayanpet district stood last in the per capita income which was below Rs one lakh. The PCI of the three districts including Medchal –Malkajigiri were only above the State income in the Tealangana State.
Booming realty, rapid growth in the IT sector and plenty of employment opportunities contributed to huge per capita income in the three districts. In the DDP category also, Rangareddy, Hyderabad and Medchal-Malkajigiri occupied first three positions in the State.
The Rangareddy district reported Rs 1.73 lakh district domestic product, Hyderabad (Rs .67 lakh) and it was Rs 66,156 for Medchal district and Mulugu district had occupied last position among 33 districts.
Officials said that Telangana is witnessing rapid growth even since the government took many initiatives in the overall development of the districts.
The State per capita income is already higher than the all India PCI of Rs 1.34 lakh . Telangana grew at 11.6 per cent whereas all India per capita income grew only at 6.3 per cent.
