Re-opening of junior colleges postponed in Telangana

Telangana: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Sunday announced that the reopening of junior colleges will be delayed in the view of coronavirus pandemic. According to the academic calendar, classes for junior colleges supposed to begin from June 1. However, the reopening of classes postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Syed Omar Jaleel, secretary of Intermediate Board said that the colleges will remain shut until further notice. Speaking on the pending exams, Jaleel said that the Geography Paper-2 and modern languages paper-2 will be held on June 3 from 9 am to 12 pm. He said that the students who appearing for these exams can download the hall tickets from the official website of the board -- tsbie.cgg.gov.in.

Jaleel said that the intermediate supplementary/improvement exams will be held in July third week. He further clarified that the students who are unable to reach the exam centres due to the non-availability of transport and other reasons can appear for the supplementary exams.

Meanwhile, the intermediate board is planning to announce intermediate second-year results on June 15. The answer sheets' valuation has been completed and are being screened.
