Ready to quit for Kavitha: MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar
Jagtial: The Jagtial MLA, Dr M Sanjay Kumar, made a sensational comment on Wednesday that he will sacrifice his MLA post for the sake of former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who lost in the recently held Lok Sabha elections.
After participating in the inauguration of Collector camp office here on the day, MLA Dr M Sanjay Kumar said that there are speculations that former MP K Kavitha will contest from Huzurnagar of Nalgonda and announced he is ready to resign his MLA post for her if she wishes to enter into the Assembly.
Huzurnagar MLA seat will fall vacant with the resignation of TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was elected to the Parliament in the Lok Sabha elections held recently. As the seat is vacant, the TRS leaders are requesting party high command to field Kavitha from Huzurnagar. But Jagtial would be better to contest instead of Huzurnagar, he observed.
The TRS received a shock with the defeat of K Kavith in the hands of BJP candidate Dharmapuri Aravind, who won with a majority of 70,875 votes in the Lok Sabha elections held on April 11.
"The final decision will be taken by the TRS leadership, whether Kavitha will contest in the Assembly elections or not. If she is ready to contest, then Jagtial would be better constituency. All the leaders and party activists will strive hard for registering a grand victory for Kavitha with a bumper majority," the MLA said.
