Reddy Vedika seeks implementation of 10 per cent EWS quota

Hyderabad: Reddy Kulala Aikya Vedika on Tuesday met State Planning Board Vice-Chairman B Vinod Kumar and urged him to ensure the implementation in the State of 10 per cent quota for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) provided by the Centre.

Aikya Vedika State president E Santosh Reddy met Vinod Kumar at the latter's office and appealed to him to ensure the implementation of EWS quota.

Santosh Reddy urged the Planning Board Vice-Chairman to see that the additional 190 medical seats provided under the EWS quota by the Centre are given only to the poor from the upper castes.

He also requested the Vinod Kumar to ensure the implementation of the promise made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during the Assembly elections that Reddy Corporation would be provided with Rs 10 crore fund.

The representatives of Vedika included general secretary S Tirupati Reddy, S Bal Reddy, N Chandra Reddy, K Chakradhar Reddy, B Gopal Reddy, J Venkat Reddy and others.
