Registrations on Dharani portal gain momentum in erstwhile Khammam district
Khammam: Agriculture related registrations process has gained momentum in the erstwhile Khammam district. Earlier, people faced problems with lengthy registration process and have to visit division or district headquarters. But now the online registration portal easy and now registrations were being done at mandal level without delay and rush.
B Srinivas Reddy of Kandukur village in Vemsoor mandal said that earlier they have to go to Sattupalli, which is 30 km away from their village and the office was always rush with so many people, who came for registrations. 'But now, we are getting registrations done at mandal level easily,' he added.
K Venkat Rama Rao of Enkoor mandal said the online registration process became easy and could be done very fast compared to earlier. Besides, with this portal, there is no corruption and no additional burden to farmers.
Dharani portal helped a woman to make gift deeds in the name of her four sons in Kusumanchi mandal of Khammam district and the experience left her amazed at the ease at which the registration is completed.
The woman, Mettala Bharatamma, through her sons came to know about the recently launched Dharani system and decided to gift 4.7 acres, which she inherited from her husband and located at Jellacheruvu village in the mandal.
She said that they spent only Rs 300 to book the slot on Tuesday. 'The registration of land in the name of my sons Vijay Kumar, Lingaiah, Ashok and Govind in the form of gift deeds completed on Thursday,' Bharatamma said.
The same is the opinion of her sons, who received their pattadar passbooks. 'Dharani portal services introduced by the State government are really very useful to the small and marginal farmers', said Ashok and Vijay Kumar.
According to officials, till now about 1,602 registrations have been completed in Khammam district and 46 in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district through Dharani portal.
