Release water to Warangal district: Errabelli to officials

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has directed the officials concerned to release water to canals, crops under Devadula Lift Irrigation scheme. He wanted officials of irrigation department to coordinate with colleagues from other wings and release waters through the project and reservoirs.

He asked the officials to ensure that the canals, reservoirs, water bodies under the project are filled for timely supply of waters.

Dayakar Rao held a review meeting at Secretariat on Monday on irrigation of crops in the combined Warangal district. Dayakar Rao said the State was witnessing good rains and it was the right time for irrigating crops.

The Minister wanted officials to avoid delay in release of waters to crops.

He hoped that the State would see better farm production this year. Parkal MLA Dharma Reddy and Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkataramana Reddy also attended the meeting.
