Renuka promises to turn Khammam into model district
Khammam: Congress candidate from Khammam Parliamentary constituency Renuka Chowdhury participated in the election campaign on Friday.
Early in the morning, she walked the streets of Khammam and spoke about the plans she has for the development of the district if voted to power.
As part of her election campaign, Renuka visited Pavilion Grounds and Sardar Patel Stadium and also met with leaders and members of Walkers Association and enquired about their demands. She said that she developed the district of Khammam and worked towards its progress while working as MP for the Khammam Parliamentary constituency and also while working as a Central Minister.
"If the people give me an opportunity to serve them again, I will turn this district into a model district," said Renuka Chowdhury in the meet with walkers at the Sardar Patel Stadium. She added that the district did not receive any developmental projects apart from the works that she started while working as Central Minister and that Sardar Patel Stadium and Pavilion Grounds were an example to that. She walked along with walkers in Pavilion Grounds and Sardar Patel Stadium and appealed to vote for her. After that she went to the tea stall near the court along with party cadre and had a casual talk with them over tea.
Later in the day, she attended the Congress-TDP party coordination meeting held in Wyra and Kothagudem constituencies. She called for all the party members of both the parties to work together in the elections. On this occasion, 200 families supporting the ruling TRS from Gollapudi village and 200 families from Theegala Banjara joined the Congress party in the presence of Renuka.
Former minister Sambani Chandrashekar, Former MLC Potla Nageswara Rao, TDP district president Ramanadham, Congress district president Durga Prasad, Former market committee chairman Manukonda Radha Kishore, Congress leaders Ramdas, Danial, Manjula, TDP leaders Venkatramaiah, Sambashiva Rao others participated in the programme.
