Residents irked over incomplete drainage

Nacharam: The incompleted CC roads and drainage works, which were started three months back, are causing inconvenience to the residents of Raghavendra Nagar.

The CC road and drainage works remain pending for the past three months.

Residents allegedly said that contractor has used dust and inferior quality cement for execution of works.

They expressed anger stating that drainage was in dilapidated condition as water curing has not been done properly.

The works have been executed in the absence of work inspector. They suspect that officials and contractor are hand in gloves with each other.

We are facing hardships for lack of road and drainage system.

Seshu Kumar, a resident expressed worry over people being hurt because of the manholes being left open.

There are times drainage overflowed creating nausea.

There are allegations that engineering officials are bribing quality control officials to mint money.

The residents urge officials concerned to come to their aid and inspect the quality of the works being executed.
