Resolve land issues fast, Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam asks officials

Vikarabad: District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam directed officials of both the revenue and the forest departments to work in tandem to resolve the issue of 'patta' lands. She was chairing a review meeting on the issue of patta and revenue lands with the officials of Revenue and Forest departments, here at conference hall on Friday.

Addressing the officials, she said that issues relating to land were in 41,848 acres in Vikarabad, Tandur, Tharur and Kodangal mandals. She told them to address the land issues immediately. She also said that awareness about the issues and training should be given to the surveyors before taking up the survey. "We received 59 applications from the Chief Minister's office, and we sent them to the respective Tahsildars," the Collector said.

She directed the officials concerned to conduct 'Prajavani' on every Monday in all Mandals and told the Tahsildars to be present at the headquarters. Joint Collector Aruna Kumari, DRO Mothilal, DFO Venumadhav, RDOs of Vikarabad and Tandur Vishwanadham, Venumadhava Rao, Additional Director of Survey and Land Records Ramreddy, DTDO Kotaji and Tahsildars along with surveyors were present.
