Review meeting chaired by CM KCR on RTC commences at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao once again conducted a review on the RTC. The review meeting, which began on Tuesday at Pragati Bhavan, was attended by Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay and RTC chief executives. This review meeting on the report on the privatization of RTC routes seems to be taking place. The report of the conference will be discussed at a state cabinet meeting on Thursday.

The state government has decided to privatize the routes in the wake of the RTC workers' strike. The state High Court has also given the government a green signal on the privatization of routes. The latest developments in the RTC seems to have been asked by the KCR.

RTC JAC announced on Monday evening that the long-running 52-day strike had been called off. RTC JAC said that the strike was called off due to people and workers hardships. JAC leaders have called for workers to attend duties from Tuesday.

However, the Telangana government has made it clear that the workers are on strike. RTC JC's announcement of joining the job on Tuesday is ridiculous, said RTC Incharge MD Sunil Sharma. A large number of workers arrived at the depots to join duty on Tuesday. Largely deployed police are blocking workers and making arrests on the spot, which caused severe tension at the depots across Telangana.
