RGI Airport police bust fake job racket, arrest four

Hyderabad: RGI Airport police busted a fake job racket and arrested four persons, who had cheated more than 20 job aspirants promising them providing jobs at RGI Airport and duped them to the tune of Rs 60,000 to Rs 1 lakh each from them.

The accused were identified as T Santosh Kumar (24), V Ram Kumar (31), Mohammed Abdul Khadar (32), T Narayana Rao (29) and B Pandu (39).

According to police, on August 30 a complaint was lodged by one Mohammed Khalid in which he stated that he attended an interview at RGI Airport, but rejected due to age factor. After he came out of the interview, one Ram Kumar met him.

He promised him a job through backdoor if Rs 2 lakh paid. Further, Santosh had created fake ID card of assistant general manager of GMR and also AEP pass, with the help of his cousin brother T Narayana Rao, a multimedia expert and Pandu, stationery shop owner.

Observing this, Khalid immediately agreed and made a payment of Rs 50,000 in the form of advance payment. Later, he was sent an appointment mail and was also given AEP pass.

On enquiry, Khalid came to know that it was fake and lodged a complaint. Police after registering a case under 420, 468 and 471 IPC took up investigation.

Police said, the prime accused Santosh is the mastermind of the racket. He had attended lot of interviews for jobs in Airport, but rejected every time.

Discerning the demand for jobs at Airport, he hatched a conspiracy to lure job aspirants. To execute this, Santosh visited GMR Aviation academy and met Ram Kumar, a former employee of GMR.

He also visited Airway Aviation Academy and developed friendship with Khader, Managing Director of the Academy and convinced them both for this unlawful act.
