Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi will soon organise a meeting with all its public representatives, including the Members of Parliament, Legislative Assembly, Council and public representatives from local bodies to provide a route map to them on good governance, which includes corruption-free administration.

The meeting assumes importance since the government proposes to implement the new Revenue Act, according to which anyone found indulging in corruption would be sacked.

TRS working president KT Rama Rao at a meeting held after the municipal elections made it clear that "gone are the days when the corporators or counsellors would be interfering in every activity that took place in their wards."

The practice was that they used to land wherever construction activity was there, and many other complaints of their highhandedness had become the order of the day. Henceforth all that will have to stopped, he had said.

Under the new act, KTR said any corporator or any official found to be indulging in corruption would have to wash his hands off his post.

According to sources, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will address about 20,000 public representatives, including MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, MPTCs, ZPTCs, sarpanches and the recently elected municipal corporators.

He will explain to them about the new Revenue Act, what they should do in the next five years to take Telangana forward and will advise them to be among the people continuously and resolve their problems.

The meeting is likely to be held sometime during the second week of February.
