RR district left high and dry, awaits Pranahita water
Hyderabad: Chevella MP and Congress leader Konda Visweswar Reddy on Monday said the undivided Ranga Reddy district has not yet received water from Pranahita-Chevella project and the State government miserably failed to keep its promise. Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Visweswar Reddy said the State government had also not yet withdrawn GO No111 so far, while noting that the vacant government jobs in the district were not yet filled by the State government. He also alleged that the State government had filled the jobs with outsiders. He also alleged that the State government had diverted the funds belonging to the district to other districts. Alleging that the undivided Ranga Reddy district was meted out with gross injustice in the entire Telangana State, he announced that he would go on hunger strike at Vikarabad on Tuesday questioning the State government on the injustices meted out to the Ranga Reddy district. He called upon the Congress party workers and leaders to take part in the hunger strike in large numbers and make it a grand success.
