Rs 14 lakh worth gold seized at RGIA

Hyderabad: The Customs officials seized gold weighing 387 grams worth Rs 14.71 lakh from a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) who was carrying it illegally on Tuesday.

According to sleuths, based on specific intelligence they intercepted a passenger who arrived by AI 965 from Mumbai and on enquiry, it was found that another International pax in the same flight has handed over the three pouches to him which he was concealed in his rectum.

After taking him into custody the officials are investigating.
