Rs 93.5 lakh cash and 400 grams gold seized from Keshampet Tahsildar's house

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Wednesday conducted searches in the house of V Lavanya, Tahsildar of Keshampet in Ranga Reddy district and seized Rs 93.5 lakh cash and 400 grams gold.

The searches were conducted when allegations came on her while the ACB sleuths caught Antaiah, VRO of Dattayapally village on Wednesday red-handed while accepting the bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant M Bhaskar, a farmer.

ACB sleuths recovered Rs 4 lakh from his possession. The VRO demanded Rs 8 lakh from the farmer for issuing digital pass book to him.

He demanded bribe by saying that he has to give bribe to Tahsildar also. Based on the allegations ACB sleuths conducted searches in the house of Tahsildar and seized the cash and gold.
