RTC driver dies of cardiac arrest in Nalgonda
Nalgonda: An RTC driver of Narketpally depot in Nalgonda district, Jameel, (42), died of cardiac arrest on Thursday late night. According to sources, Jameel had been actively participating in the RTC strike for the last 20 days was worried over his job and allegedly went into depression after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's statement on RTC strike.
On Thursday midnight, he suffered cardiac arrest and died on the way to the district government hospital in Nalgonda. The RTC JAC leaders of Nalgonda stated that Jameel's death was a government murder and demanded justice to the bereaved family members.
On Friday, tension prevailed at the government hospital during the post-mortem of the body. RTC workers and JAC leader Bhingiri Narender fired salvos on the Chief Minister for his comments on RTC and its agitating workers and challenged to discuss all his allegations in the presence of advocates. He advised RTC workers not to lose hope and, informed that no one has the right to sack RTC workers as they were recruited through board not by politicians.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leaders and workers expressing their concern over the death of the driver, burnt an effigy of K Chandrashekar Rao in Nalgonda town. Speaking on the occasion, BJP district president warned of filing cases against the Chief Minister in court if local police fail take complaint against the CM with regard to driver Jameel's death
Meanwhile, police beefed up security at all bus depots in erstwhile Nalgonda district in view of driver Jameel's death.
