RTC merger with government impossible: Agri Minister
Khammam: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said that merging RTC with the State government was impossible. The Minister visited Lord Rama temple at Bhadrachalam on Thursday and later interacted with the media at Bhadrachalam Paper Board Guest House at Sarapaka in Bhadradri-Kothagudem District.
Speaking to the media, he said merging RTC with the government was highly impossible. He questioned the BJP and Congress parties why they did not take a step in this direction in the States under their control and instead demanding that Telangana do it.
He said the government is ready to solve the issues of RTC employees. He said the opposition parties were provoking the RTC workers. He alleged that the opposition parties were misguiding the employees for their political existence and they do not have sincerity in the strike issue.
He alleged that the opposition parties were cooking a conspiracy to take down the TRS government. He advised the RTC unions to keep the merger demand aside for now and instead focus on their remaining demands. The RTC workers and union leaders stopped him at Bhadrachalam ahead of his interaction with the media and submitted a memorandum.
