RTC staff stir: CM yielded to BJP pressure, says Krishna Saagar Rao
Hyderabad: BJP State unit chief spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao has said on Thursday that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has eventually yielded to the pressure created by BJP on the RTC employees' strike.
While the chief minister has not even met or listened to the RTC employees on their demands so far, the BJP leader said Chandrashekar Rao realised that he can't stretch this stand-off beyond this point, with mounting pressure from the BJP and the Central government.
The BJP cadre and leaders under the leadership of the party State president Dr Laxman have fought along with the RTC employees' unions for the last two months and have exerted enough pressure without which the chief minister wouldn't have stepped down from his position he has taken against the RTC employees.
Even, he did not allow the RTC workers to return to their jobs after they ended their strike, Rao said, adding that the RTC employees might return to their duties from Friday.
