RTC workers strike: Scribes take out rally

TUWJ members taking out a rally in Mancherial on Friday

Mancherial: Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) and Indian Journalists' Union (IJU) members took out a rally in support of TSRTC workers strike here on Friday. They demanded the government fulfilment of the legal demands of the RTC workers, who have been continuing their strike on seventh day.

Journalist union leaders took out rally from Bellampalli Chowrasta to the RTC depot. Speaking on the occasion, TUWJ (IJU) district president Mangapathi Chandrashekar and Electronic Media Association president Sampath said that the RTC workers are demanding the government merger of RTC with the government and the government with a stubborn attitude is not coming to discussions.

The union leaders reminded the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao about his promises made in the past that he will merge the RTC with the government.

Print and Electronic Media leaders Parashuram, N Ramesh, Devaraju, Laxman, Vamshi, Satyanarayana, Satish, Yadav Rao, Raviraj, Venkatesh, Uday Kumar, Srinivas, Chandramouli and others were present.
