RUBYZEST 19 to showcase girl techies' talent
Warangal: The three-day RUBYZEST 19, the national-level symposium and the cultural extravaganza of the University College of Engineering and Technology for Women, on Thursday got underway on the Kakatiya University (KU) campus.
Inaugurating the fest, KU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna said that symposiums such as RUBYZEST provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative skills
and creativity.
"Fests help students develop their technological skills besides inculcating proactive, productive and passion about whatever they do. It provides platform for students to builds their communication, interacting skills and network," Prof Sayanna said, exhorting students to
apply their knowledge for the welfare of society.
Chief guest NIT Prof Y Chandrasekhar, who emphasised the need for taking technology to society, said that RUBYZEST is just the right kind of fest that brings out innovativeness among the students.
College principal Dr B Manjula said that more than 25 events have been lined for the fest.
The programmes include App-God, Code for Cause, Clash of Brains, Tech Hub, Tech Jam, Electro Gem, Tech Crafts Gallery etc. This apart, cultural programmes have also planned as part of the three-day event.
R Veena, M Surender, Vanisri, G Kishan, Sai Tarun, Swapna, Kiran Kumar, Venkatesh, Deepthi, Rachana, Srija, Yashasvini, Vaishnavi, Swathi and superintendent Aruna Kumari were present.
