Ruckus in TRS membership drive

Tandur: Ruckus marked during TRS membership drive, here on Thursday. MLA Rohit Reddy and MLC Mahender Reddy launched the drive in the presence of the constituency observer Gattu Ramachandrudu at Urdughar.

Followers of MLC shouted that people of MLA should wear party shawls (Kanduvas) as they are dominating in the party. In return, followers of MLA made it clear that they are with him and would definitely wear Kanduvas.

Both the groups shouted slogans in favour of their leaders. The constituency observer tried to pacify them but in vein. He left the venue abruptly. Organisers cancelled the programme. Activists of both sides demand that their group should be given priority in coming municipal elections.
