Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Chairman takes charge Palla Rajeshwar Reddy in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: On the criticism that he was not from the agriculture background, the newly appointed Rythu Samanvaya Samithi Chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Friday said that he knows the problems of the farmers. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave me the post believing in my abilities, he stated.
The Samithi Chairman made these comments while taking charge at his office in Jubilee Hills here on Friday. "Some leaders were against the chief minister's decision to give Samithi post to me. I may not have agriculture background.
But I come from farming family and I have some awareness. The chief minister felt whatever work is given to me I will do it," said Rajeshwar. The chairman also tried to give counter to the comments of Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, who said that Rajeshwar Reddy joined TRS only in 2014.
"I may have joined TRS in 2014 but I have completed whatever task the chief minister assigned to me successfully. The intention of the chief minister was to make the Samanvaya Samithi workers to work effectively similar to the manner in which the party workers strive for the party," said Rajeshwar.
It may be mentioned here that chief minister made Rajeshwar Reddy as in-charge of Huzurnagar Assembly constituency during bypoll and TRS was victorious. Huzurnagar falls under Nalgonda, which is the own district of Jagadish Reddy.
Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said that the farmers are getting respect after Chandrashekar Rao became chief minister. The State will develop more when there is development in agriculture sector.
The Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima have instilled the confidence among the farmers, said Jagadish Reddy. Several ministers, party leaders, Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, former MP K Kavitha and others met and congratulated Rajeshwar Reddy.
