Rythu Yantra app launched in Nirmal district
Nirmal: In order to bring the farmers close to technology, a first of its kind in the country 'Rythu Yantra' app to provide tractor services to farmers, was launched by District Collector M Prashanthi at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector M Prashanthi said the app has been introduced to provide tractor service to small and medium farmers at minimum cost than the market price.A pilot project in Soan, Nirmal and Dilawarpur in Nirmal district was successfully implemented.
There are 243 tractor owners in the district and 491 farmers have registered their names in the app. After receiving 430 booking calls, 230 tractor services were provided to the customers, she informed. Farmers can avail these tractor services booked through the app for transportation agricultural produce, agricultural equipment and other form uses at less price than the market.
The prices of transportation under the app are like this – Rs 650 per hour to transport a big plough; Rs 600 for seed-cum-fertiliser machine; Rs 600 for cultivator; Rs 900 for Rote Vetter; Rs 500 for trolley; Rs 1,000 for transporting cage wheel per hour. AOE explained the farmers how to book a tractor though the app. Collector Prashanthi said that this app is very useful to farmers as well as tractor owners and urged the farmers to utilise the app services.
Agriculture Assistant Director Vinay Babu, Khaja, E distrit Manager Nadeem Khan, agricultural officers, AEOs, Jana spandana software offices, Venkat, Kethan and others were present.
