Sabitha prefers books to bouquets from visitors
Hyderabad: The newly sworn-in Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy has stressed that people should know about the matters pertaining to Telangana history and culture and hoped Telangana Grandhalaya Samstha will undertake initiatives in this regard.
Sabitha wanted visitors and supporters coming to greet her on becoming a Minister to come with books and not flower bouquets.
She accepted the first book from State Grandhalaya Samstha chairman Ayachitam Sridhar. He presented "Ujwala Prasthanam", a book written by CM PRO Gatika Vijay Kumar.
The Minister said she felt happy that she received "Ujwala Prasthanam", a book highlighting the Telangana history dating back to several centuries and its progress as a separate State.
Sabitha Reddy wanted books like "Ujwala Prasthanam" be made available in all the libraries so that people would know about the past and present.
She assured that she would take an initiative to improve the infrastructure and collection of books in all the libraries in the State.
