Sandra calls for special drives to contain fake seed menace in Khammam

Khammam: Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has appealed to the agriculture department officials to carry out a special drive to contain the fake seed menace.

On Thursday, the MLA met Joint Director of Agriculture department Jhansi Laxmi Kumar in her office and requested the officials of the department to take up special drives to stop the sale of fake seeds in the district.

Stating that the officials of the department would get full support of police during checks, the MLA said apart from fake seed menace the farmers were also suffering due to lack of rains. He discussed the implementation of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes.
