Sangareddy receives 1 cm rainfall
Sangareddy: There was one cm of rain in Raikode of Sangareddy district along with severe heat wave conditions at isolated pockets in Medak, among two Telangana districts, during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday.
While Medak recorded day temperature of 42.7 deg C, Hakimpet and Dundigal had a high of 38.3 and 37 respectively. The highest maximum temperature of 44.3 deg C was recorded in Adilabad. The Met department bulletin said heat wave conditions prevailed in three districts. Rain occurred at isolated places.
The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places across the State from June 12 to 15. No large change during the period June 16-18 is the weather outlook. In a warning to Telangana, the bulletin said on June 12 and 13 heat wave conditions are likely at isolated pockets in 14 Telangana districts.
On June 15 thunderstorms, with gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph and lightning, are forecast at isolated places. Public have been advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.
