SBI's Dabeerpura branch in Hyderabad closed after customer tests positive for COVID-19

Hyderabad: Following the test results of a customer which turned positive, the State Bank of India's Dabeerpura branch was closed on Saturday. The customer is said to have visited the bank frequently for the last few days.

The GHMC officials disinfected the bank and its surroundings and also conducted thermal screening tests for the SBI Dabeerpura branch employees. The bank may remain closed for 14 days while confirmation is yet to be awaited from officials.

N Satyanarayana, station house officer, Dabeerpura said that they are investigating the matter and more details are provided soon. He added that they have shut the area and the quarantine measures for employees are being checked.

On May 19, SBI closed its Puranapul branch after a customer who visited the bank was suspected to have succumbed to Covid-19. In another case, a 54-year-old man working for SBI in Hyderabad died of Covid-19 on May 18. He was working as a messenger at the SBI, Head Office, located in Koti.
