Scientist found murdered in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A Scientist with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was found murdered in his apartment in Hyderabad.

The deceased identified as S Suresh (56), a native of Kerala and residing at Annapurna apartment flat No. S-2, Dharamkaram Road. This incident came into light on Tuesday in Ameerpet under SR Nagar police station limits.

Suresh is working as a scientist at the National Remote Sensing Research Institute in Balanagar. His wife Indira is working as a manager at Indian Bank. Their son settled in the US and daughter Ramya got married. After his wife got transferred to Tamil Nadu, Suresh is living alone in the city.

On the last Monday, Suresh went to the office and returned in the evening. The next day morning, the servent Laxmi came to the flat and found the door was locked and she returned back.

His friends called on the mobile, as Suresh didn't report to the duty. As there was no response, they came to the home and found it was locked. With this, they informed his relatives who stay in the same apartment.

The relatives informed his wife Indra, and she rushed to the city with her daughter. On receiving the information, the police reached the apartment and broke the lock and entered the flat, where they found Suresh lying dead on the ground.

On seeing the injuries on face and head, the police confirmed it as murder. They suspect that after the murder, the accused locked the door from the outside. The Clues team and dog squad collected evidence at the crime scene.

Over the incident, the police registered a case and investigating further. The locals said that a person by name Srinivas use to visit Suresh regularly and they drink alcohol together. In this context, the police are looking out to find out who is this Srinivas.
