SCR GM undertakes inspection of Tirupati area
Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Gajanan Mallya conducted inspection of various railway stations in and around Tirupati area as also the Carriage Repair Shop, Tirupati on Thursday. He was accompanied by V. P. Singh, Divisional Railway Manager and other officials of Guntakal Division.
The General Manager commenced his inspection with Tiruchanur Railway Station. He inspected station premises and progress of works for construction of New Station Building at Tiruchanur crossing Station. He also reviewed the developmental plans and ongoing works at the station. Later, he inspected Carriage Repair Workshop, Tirupati and inaugurated various developmental initiatives at the Workshop. He planted saplings in the workshop premises. He also inspected safety equipment available at workshop and interacted with workshop employees and enquired about the safety precautions taking by them.
Gajanan Mallya made a visit to Tirupati West Railway Station and continued with his inspection of the entire station premises. He reviewed the ongoing works with Divisional Railway Manager and other officials on the station development plans of the Station. After completing the inspection at Tirupati West, the General Manager undertook an extensive tour of Tirupati Railway Station, covering the entire station premises from the main (North side) till the South side entrance area. The Divisional Railway Manager appraised him on the developmental works going on at the station including on the station development plans towards the south side of the station.
The General Manager also inspected Premium Lounge at platform no. 1 and services provided in the lounge. At Renigunta Railway station, Gajanan Mallya focused his attention on the circulating area, platforms, Station Masters room, Cloak Room, Waiting halls and also passenger amenities available in the station. He also discussed the feasibility of developing the Renigunta Railway Station with the officials of Guntakal Division who accompanied him dining the inspection.
