Secunderabad: Journalist gets honorary doctorate
Secunderabad: Newly elected president of Vasavi Nagar welfare association Satish Gupta alleged that vice president of Cantonment Board J Ramakrishna and the board had failed in providing basic amenities. He was speaking to the media after the declaration of election results on Tuesday. Vasavi Nagar is one of the largest colonies in Cantonment area.
Speaking to media, Satish Gupta promised to strive for resolution of public issues in Cantonment area. He said that he had been serving people for the last 10 years as social activist and last two years as the president of colony welfare associations.
In last two years, many local issues such as water, roads, drainage and electricity were addressed with the cooperation from colony residents. He criticised J Ramakrishna for interfering in the colony elections in an effort to defeat him. Satish Gupta said that J Ramakrishna would be taught a lesson in the forthcoming board elections.
