Secunderabad: Nair Service Society sets up women's wing

Secunderabad: The Hyderabad chapter of Nair Service Society (NSS) formed a women's wing in its efforts to expand its service among Nair women living in Hyderabad and attend to issues faced by them in diverse fields in a more efficient manner. At a recent meeting held at the NSS office, the committee Vanitha Vedi - elected its new office-bearers and entrusted them with different responsibilities, according to a press release on Friday.

Following are the new office-bearers of NSS Vanitha Vedi, Hyderabad unit: Geetha Ottur (president), Asha Chandramohan (vice president), Omana Sasikumar (general secretary), Priya Nair (joint secretary) and Sumam Nair (treasurer). Besides these members, Dhanya M Nair, Shashikala Devi, Lalitharaj, Jaya Sivan and Indira G Nair were elected as committee members, the release said.

Members of NSS Hyderabad chapter wished the Vanitha Vedi all the best and thanked the members for their willingness to work for the women members of the Nair community in twin cities.
