Secunderabad: No survey of fevers in Ravi Colony as yet

Secunderabad: Even after two days of the 24-year-old software engineer being tested as positive for Coronavirus, residents allege, no medical team visited the Ravi Colony, Mahindra Hills, to conduct a fever survey. Only SCB and GHMC sanitation wing has taken up cleanliness drive and also surgical masks were distributed to the locals.

All the lanes in Mahindra Hills that comes under GHMC and SCB limits were cleaned that includes removals of garbage cleaning the open nala , spraying of the chemicals and sprinkling of bleaching powder."

Ravinder Goud, the assistant medical officer of health , GHMC said " Our team have taken up sanitation works at main road of Mahindra Hills. The complete lane was swiped and anti lava spray for spread. Also we also has a door to door inspection where we advice the residents to keep their surroundings clean"

M Devender, Superintendent of Health and Sanitation Department, SCB , said, " Today even we took up the cleanliness drive at Mahendra Hill and all other areas in SCB. Also form next week we planning to a distribute pamphlets. Also Chandra Sekhar, CEO, SCB inspected the colony today."

Srinivas Reddy, a resident from Ravi Colony, said, "So far no medical team has visited our colony . Only SCB officials are doing cleanliness' drive."'

Dr J Venkat, Hyderabad District Medical Health Officer (DMHO), said "Right now no team has been deployed. We had a meeting with health officers and educational institutions regarding this issue." After the outbreak of Coronavirus, many residents of SCB have taken an initiative to organise awareness campaigns in their colonies.
