Secunderabad Railway station introduces battery operated cars

Five Battery Operated Cars (BOC) were introduced at Secunderabad railway station to ferry passengers on platforms at Secunderabad railway station.

The cars will be operated round the clock at a cost of Rs 45 per passenger and can accommodate six passengers at a time. Though the service is available to all the passengers, preference will be given to senior citizens, disabled and pregnant women.

The car can be booked in advance by calling on a mobile number -- 8827331111.

Operated by trained drivers, the car has many safety features such as a hand brake for an emergency stoppage. For passenger's safety, there are also cameras installed in the car.
