Secunderabad: SCR holds 'Walk for Glory'

Secunderabad: The women constitute 11 per cent of the work force in South Central Railway (SCR), said Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SCR on Sunday. Speaking at a rally 'Walk for Glory' to mark International Women's Day, he said, "SCR is providing highest priority to recruit women force to strengthen security aspect of women passengers. Five important stations on SCR viz., Begumpet, Vidyanagar, Chandragiri, New Guntur and Ramavarapadu railway stations are being operated with all women employees".

The rally proceeded towards Sanchalan Bhavan, Sangeet 'X' Roads, NCL complex and concluded at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad. A large number of officers, staff and women employees along with their family members participated in the rally.
